If you are planning to race in an ABA race this season, then you should become familiar with the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale) Race Regulations. The UCI rules are
followed by the CCA (Canadian Cycling Association) and the ABA (Alberta Bicycle Association). These regulations will be followed at all ABA races.

Specifically, there are four areas that you should become familiar with, under UCI General Regulations (Part 1):
- Wheels (UCI Section 1.3.018)
- Position of Saddle (UCI Section 1.3.013)
- Bicycle Weight (UCI Section 1.3.019)
- Position of Aerobars (UCI Sections 1.3.022 and 1.3.023)
