Hwy 66 Road Race

• 6:30pm MDT - 9:30pm MDT July 31st, 2024
• This is one of our longest Road Races ,we will be going west up to Forget Me Not summit . We will have three groups A,B and C Parking is available in Bragg Creek Please no parking at the start . Sign-in is at 6pm and racing starts at 6:30. We will need two volunteers and First aid We will follow the usual Route 66 out and back. A's and B's to summit and back. C's to base of climb and back. Race Start: Race starts at 6:30pm sharp at the corner of Highway 66 and 758 (RR 51A). Event Details Race Format: The C's will start out and ride to Beaver Flats and head back for approximately 40km The A's and B's will go a little longer to more hills to the 23km mark before turning back for approximately 45km. Important Things to Note: We will be riding through a few "Texas Gates" so please ride carefully and neutralize during these portions. There is a lot of gravel, debris and lumps of biological hazards on the shoulders, pay attention and be careful. Parking: Best place to park is at the Bragg Creek Community Centre. You can ride down through Bragg Creek Provincial Park and warm up to the start area. Event Details Volunteers: We will need 3 volunteers to help with this race. 1 marshal each for the 1 (or 2) at the turn around points, and of course a first aid volunteer. If you are able to be a volunteer or bring a volunteer, comment in our chat or leave a note in your RSVP. Volunteers will require a Kananaskis Conservation Area pass, so please bring one a volunteer can borrow if possible
